In this six week class designed for children ages 10 to 18, Kim will teach the class the ends and outs of training dogs in beginner obedience while strengthening their bond through the use of games and play. Include: “come”,“sit,” “down,” “heel,” “stay,” “fetch” or “get it,” and “drop it.” Boy scout badge requirements (3a,3b,3C, 5, 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) Term: 6 weeks, 45 min Class size: Limited to 6 Prerequisite: See Socialization Checklist Required equipment: Flat buckle collar with a 6 ft leash, treat pouch, and lots of high value treats like hotdogs, chicken breast, cheese. No e-collars, prong collars, no retractable or slip leads will be permitted in class.Saturdays, 9am-9:45am. Six Weeks: 1/4-2/8 ATTENTION: All students must fill out a training survey. This class will give you insight into why your dog does the things they do. It will focus on learning life skills that form the building blocks for behavior. These skills will set you and your puppy up for a life of mutual respect and communication. Some topics covered are handling distractions, recall, stationing, relaxing in the presence of other dogs, and establishing comfort with grooming. For dogs eight weeks to six months old. Please bring your puppy on a harness with a standard 6 ft leash, plenty of really yummy treats (cheese, chicken, hot dogs, or similar). Prong, slip, choke, vibration, or shock collars not permitted. The goal of this class is to have fun with your dog while learning rally novice , connect and make new friends and enjoy a bit of wine. This class is open to all ages, no one under the age of 21 years will be allowed in the consumption of any alcohol during this class. Please bring your dog to class on a flat buckle or martingale collar and six foot leash. No prong, shock collars or flexi leashes. Please bring a variety of high value treats for your dog such as chicken, cheese or hotdogs to class.
