Hidden Potential Puppy Get your new puppy off to the best start with some basic skills and cues such as sit, down, default stay, and loose leash walking. Learn why it is critical to socialize your puppy and the right way to do it. Topics to be discussed will include puppy behaviors, house breaking, coming when called, and crate training. Puppies with age-appropriate vaccines under the age of 6 months are welcome. Term: 6 weeks, 1 hour-long class per week Class size: Limited to 6 Prerequisite: None Required equipment: Flat buckle collar with a 6 ft leash, treat pouch, and lots of high value treats like hotdogs, chicken breast, cheese. It will focus on learning life skills that form the building blocks for behavior. These skills will set you and your puppy up for a life of mutual respect and communication. Some topics covered are handling distractions, recall, stationing, relaxing in the presence of other dogs, and establishing comfort with grooming. For dogs eight weeks to six months old. Please bring your puppy on a harness with a standard 6 ft leash, plenty of really yummy treats (cheese, chicken, hot dogs, or similar). Prong, slip, choke, vibration, or shock collars not permitted. Canine Good Citizen - Clicker Style! Canine Good Citizen: Train Your Dog to be a Model Citizen! Does your furry friend have what it takes to be a Canine Good Citizen?
